Privacy notice

What we collect,
and why.

Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no advertising or tracking scripts, and holds only what you type into a form — in order to answer you.

Privacy notice

1. Who we are

BETOSIM Ltd (“BETOSIM”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of personal data collected through betosim.com. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17351869, with our registered office at Flat 8, 51 Kensington Court, London W8 5DB. You can reach us at info@betosim.com.

2. What we collect

  • Information you submit through a form — your name, role, organisation, work email address and the content of your enquiry, including the territory, scope or purpose fields where the form asks for them.
  • Technical delivery data — our hosting provider processes the request data needed to serve a web page and to protect the site from abuse, including IP address and user-agent. This is standard infrastructure logging and is not used to build a profile of you.

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send, special-category personal data or confidential third-party information through these forms.

3. Cookies and analytics

This site does not set cookies and does not use cookie-based analytics, advertising or social-media tracking. Any audience measurement we use is aggregated and cookie-less, and does not identify individual visitors or track them across sites. Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner to click.

Our web fonts are served from this site’s own domain, not from a third-party font service, so loading a page discloses nothing about you to anyone but our hosting provider. Form submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving alternative to CAPTCHA; that check involves a request to Cloudflare, which necessarily discloses your IP address to Cloudflare in order to perform it.

4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To answer your enquiry — on the basis of your consent, given by ticking the consent box when you submit a form. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • To assess a licensing or dossier request and to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract — on the basis of steps prior to contract and our legitimate interests in evaluating prospective partners.
  • To keep the site available and secure — on the basis of our legitimate interests in protecting our infrastructure from abuse.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have separately asked us to, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, ever.

5. Who sees it

Enquiries are read by the BETOSIM team handling that enquiry type. We use a small number of processors to operate the site and our email — hosting and security infrastructure, and email service — who act on our instructions under contract. Where a licensing enquiry concerns a specific territory, relevant details may be shared within the group on a need-to-know basis in order to answer you.

Some of these providers operate outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Agreement where applicable.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not proceed — retained for up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted.
  • Enquiries that lead to an NDA, an evaluation or a contract — retained for the duration of the relationship and for the period required for legal, tax and contractual record-keeping thereafter.
  • Infrastructure logs — retained for the short period set by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics.

7. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to request access to your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@betosim.com. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), the United Kingdom supervisory authority — though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS with modern security headers. Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and delivered to controlled company mailboxes. We limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it to do their work.

9. Changes to this notice

We update this notice when our processing changes — for example, when the company’s registration details are added, or when a processor changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
